It is inspired by the natural landscapes of the Japanese coastal zone, and the Hammered Damascus Steel represents the corroded from the ocean slopes that souround the mainland. In addition, the hammered pattern creates pockets of air between the blade surface and the food surface to aid in food release while cutting.
